Yettinahole pressmeet

Speaking to reporters here on February 6, Monday, Ganesh Rao, leader of the Samithi said the  move has become inevitable  following the failure of the government to yield to the demand.

He said the protest would begin at 10.15 am under the leadership of Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel after garlanding the statue of Mahatma Gandhi near the Town Hall.  A protest meeting will also be held at 11.30 am, he said.

Ganesh Rao further stated that it would be an apolitical fight transcending all barriers of caste, creed and religion and called upon elected representatives, leaders of various social, religious, student organisations as well as trade unions  to participate.

M G Hegde, activist who also spoke said  District Minister Ramanatha Rai and State Government would be held responsible in the event of any unforeseen incident during the protest.

Samithi leaders Dinaker Shetty, Shashiraj Shetty Kolambe, Haneef Khan Kodaje, Raghuveer Souterpete and others  were present.
