Mangaluru, July 18, 2016 : Several shops in the Central Market area which did not possess valid trade licences were raided by a team of MCC officials under the leadership of Kavitha Sanil, Chairperson of Standing Committee of Health, Education and Social Justice on July 18, Monday.
It may be recalled here that MCC had already warned shop keepers who have failed to renew their trade licences to do so at the earliest.
According to Kavitha Sanil, as many as 7782 traders out of the 29,000 traders in city have not yet renewed their trade licences and added that the trade licence renewal numbers were also low, with only 376,130 and 220 traders renewing their licences in the months of May, June and July.
