Excise Dept yet to sanction leave for 2 sports persons to attend Asian Bench Press event

Mangaluru, Sept 14, 2018: Ekalavya Award winning power lifter Satish Kumar Kudroli and Commonwealth Gold Medalist Vincent Carlo  who are supposed to represent India as a trainer and participant respectively  in the Asian Bench Press championship to be held at Dubai from September 18 to 24 are  still uncertain if they could participate as the Excise Department where they are serving  has not yet sanctioned leave for them.

Satish Kumar Kudroli is an Excise Officer at KR Pete Zone in Mandya while Vincent is serving in the Excise Joint Commissioner’s office in Mangaluru. As the Indian contingent is scheduled to leave for Dubai on September 17, the two have now written to the Chief Minister  and Sports Minister  regarding their problem.
