Mangaluru, June 23, 2020: The DK District Administration has said that an early decision would be taken on the issue of reopening the Karnataka- Kerala border after both the states arrive at a consensus. As of now only those with passes are allowed entry into Dakshina Kannada district at Talapady and Jalsur borders.
Speaking on the issue, DK District in-charge Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary said the government’s approval is required to completely open the borders.
Deputy Commissioner Sindhu Rupesh said the borders to Kerala in 21 places had earlier been closed as per the government orders. Any further decision will depend on the government orders, she said.
