Drunken man assaulted for brushing past woman after Kadri Mosaru Kudike event

Mangaluru, Sep 05 2018: A person was assaulted by a youth after the Mosaru Kudike festivities at Kadri on Monday after the former brushed past the latter’s mother in an inebriated state.

The injured person is Gopinath. The incident took place after those who attended the cultural event at the Kadri Ground as part of Janmashtami celebrations were returning. It is said Gopinath who was dunk had brushed past the mother of Karthik while returning. This led to an altercation between Karthik and Gopinath and eventually the latter was assaulted. Gopinath fell on the road and sustained injuries. He was immediately rushed to the hospital.

Kadri Police have registered a case. City Police Commissioner T R Suresh visited the hospital and met the injured person.
