Driver found dead inside autorickshaw at Vamanjoor

Mangaluru, Aug 21, 2015: A young autorickshaw driver has been found dead inside his autorickshaw which was parked opposite the Mangaljyothi School at Vamanjoor on August 21, Friday. A rope around his neck was found tied to the rod on the roof of the autorickshaw.

The deceased is Suresh (28), a resident of Sultan Batheri area in Mangaluru. It has been gathered that the autorickshaw had remained parked in the same place since Thursday night. It was only when a passerby peeped into the autorickshaw after moving aside the side sheets that he found the driver dead inside. Police have found the contact number of Suresh’s wife and another family member in a piece of paper found near the body.

The exact cause of Suresh’s death is yet to be ascertained.

Kankanady Police who have arrived at the spot are investigating the case.
