Dr. Suhail Ahmed’s video among top 10 for Indian Idol 6 web auditions

Mangalore, May 6, 2012: Dr. Suhail Ahmed, who got his MDS in maxillofacial surgery from Yenepoya Dental College, submitted his video for the Indian Idol 6 web auditions and discovered to his delight that it has turned out to be the top 10 of the 9000 videos submitted from all over India. It has already been viewed 6,780 times. 

Dr. Suhail of Babugudda is currently a lecturer in a dental college in Riyadh in Saudi Arabia. He is the son of the late B. A. Rahiman, a timber merchant. 

Dr. Suhail is not an amateur, but a trained classical singer who learned Hindustani vocal at Bharathiya Vidhya Bhavan in Mangalore. 

He recalls his mother’s encouragement and says that he is indebted to her for her achievements in the field of music so far. He has won a number of prizes so far. Besides, he is also a percussionist and can play the table. He has sung for several commercials in Bangalore.
He is married to Dr. Nafeesa and is the father of a one-year-old.
