Dr Mohan Alva inaugurates Diabetes Clinic at A J hospital

Mangalore, November 13:  Dr Mohan Alva, Chairman of Alva’s Education foundation, inaugurated Diabetes clinic at A J Hospital and Research Centre on Saturday, November 13.

Diabetes care is constantly changing in order to meet the dynamic needs of patients as their lifestyles and diets transform during their lifetime. There is no single, uniform treatment or solution to this complex disease said Dr Mohan Alva. He said the newly opened centre will succeed in providing high quality treatment for the diabetes patients.  He was speaking after inaugurating the diabetic centre at A J hospital.

The chief guest of the function Dr A Subramanyeshwar Rao, Superintendent of police, Dakshina Kannada district (Rural) said that Diabetes is fast becoming a major health problem in the country with close to 40 million currently suffering from the disease. Diabetes is considered to be a social problem due to its intensity. A healthy diet and regular physical exercise will help in preventing the diabetes disease in its initial stage, he said.

In his presidential address A J Shetty, chairman, A J Group of Institutions said that we want all concerned to take the necessary action to control an epidemic that affects the lives of more than 300 million people in the world today
