Dr KG Jagadeesha feels overwhelmed to be DC of Dakshina Kannada

Mangalurur Nov 3, 2016: Dakshina Kannada DC Dr KG Jagadeesha felt overwhelmed and blessed to serve as Deputy Commissioner in Dakshina Kannada.

He was addressing during the interaction session  about concern and issues of Dakshina Kannada at Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Bunder on Wednesday November 2nd

He also said that, he was aware of some pit falls in the system of collection of waste, as garbage could be still seen at places. There is progress on other fronts, mainly in reining in open defecation in all the 230 gram panchayaths in the district.

He said that, we should take up initiative in promoting industries for the growth of Dakshina Kannada as it is connects through road, railways and Air. Along with this we need to promote tourism if doing so Dakshina Kannada can be enrolled in destination place.

 

 

He further said that, iam blessed and overwhelmed to serve as DC in this district, concerns and problems will be prirotized and on that basis ground work will be done to sort out the issues in Dakshina Kannada. I have called for the expansion of airport and upgradation of railway station.

KCCI is working hard for the purpose of development by noticing the problems situated in the district and initiating for better progress. He urged people and concerned authorities to join hands in making this district to a better one.

Meanwhile DC KG Jagadeesha recieved the first copy of the coffee table book brought by the KCCI.

KCCI President Jeevan Saldanha, KCCI Vice president Vatika Pai, Ganesh Bhat, Praveen Kumar, Abdul Hameed were present.
