Mangaluru, Feb 18, 2021: Fencing and garden project initiated by Karnataka Bank on the nearly 3.10 km long divider of the National Highway 66 at Nantur was inaugurated on Thursday, February 18, by Mangalore MLA, Vedavyas Kamath. The project has been taken up under the CSR scheme of the Bank at a cost of Rs 1.10 crores.
Speaking on the occasion, the Bank’s CEO and MD, M S Mahabaleshwara said the project has been taken up with the co-operation of the District Administration keeping in mind the safety of the people and also with the objective of helping in enhancing the beauty of the city along with creating awareness on environment protection.
Deputy Commissioner Dr K V Rajendra, City Police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar, SP B M Laxmi Prasad, City Corporation Commissioner Akshy Sridhar, NHAI Project Director Shishu Mohan, Kadri Inspector Gopalkrishna Bhat, Bank’s General Manager G M Manjunath Bhat, COO Balachandra Y, AGM Srinivas Deshpande and others were present.
