Mangaluru, Jan 12, 2016: DK DC Adoor B Ibrahim said about Rs 725 crore is expected to be invested in the district during the Invest Karnataka programme, scheduled to be organised by the State Government today Jan 12.
Chairing a meeting convened to discuss the preparations for the programme, he said a district investors’ meet will be held at T M A Pai International Convention Centre in Mangaluru on January 12 in this connection. The meet will be organised in association with KCCI and District Industries Centre, he added.
District In-charge minister B Ramanath Rai will inaugurate the meet at 10.30 am. Sessions will be held from 11.30 am and interactions with investors will be held from 1 pm. LPG, Bottling, Steel plant, water purifying and pharmaceutical companies, along with wellness spa, boat club and garment industries have shown interest to invest on the district.
The entrepreneurs will make investments during the Invest Karnataka programme, the DC said.
He said businessmen are batting for an investment of Rs 59 crore for the construction of hotels in the district under the tourism policy.
A memorandum of understanding for the extension of Ruchi Soya industries will be signed on the occasion.
KCCI President Rammohan Pai Maroor and city corporation Joint Commissioner Gokuldas Nayak were present on the occasion.
The city will face the fast development as the investors are opted to invest. In the meet the investor’s interested will visit from different corners of the districts.
