District Youth Congress protests against Modi govt policies

Mangaluru, Apr 28, 2017: The District Youth Congress Committee organised a protest in front of the DC office here on April 27, Thursday to deplore the style of functioning of the Union Government which has led to a drastic hike in the prices of essential commodities.

Speaking on the occasion, District Youth Congress President Mithun Rai said the fuel prices have been increasing steadily ever since the BJP rose to power at the Centre while in Karnataka the Congress government was helping the poor through Anna Bhagya. He also deplored the government moves to make prescribing generic medicines mandatory for doctors.

Kavitha Sanil, Mayor, Shashidhar Hegde, former mayor, Praveenchandra Alva, Corporator and others were also present.
