District JD(S) appoints new office bearers for DK unit

Mangaluru Dec 14, 2016: With a view to strengthen the party in Dakshina Kannada for the forthcoming elections, District JD(S) has appointed its new office bearers, informed JD(S) Youth President Akshith Suvarna.

Addressing media at JD(S) office on Wednesday December 14, he presented the list of office bearers. Madusudan KT Gowda has been appointed General Secretary of district unit while Praveen Mundody, Harish Kottary, Madhuraj Shetty have been appointed Vice Presidents. Tejas Shetty, Royston and Ismail Shareef will be the Secretaries

Speaking about the demonetization, Akshith said that it had hit hard the common man, particularly those residing in remote areas. He said the JD(S) would appeal to the government to initiate measures to bring back things to normalcy.

JD(S) is also planning to organize bike rally during first week of January from Mangaluru to Moodbidiri and Mangaluru to Sullia. JD(S) leader Madhu Bangarappa will flag off the rally while other eminent leaders are expected to take part in the rally, said Akshith.

He said the JD(S) would select candidates for the upcoming elections after taking cognizance of their active participation in party activities.
