Bantwala Feb 8: ‘Diaference-2010, a convention of Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM), was held at Infant Jesus parish grounds, Modankap here on Sunday February 7.

 

 

 

 

Rev.Fr. Dr Henry D Souza, KRYC chairman Bishop of Bellary was presiding over the function. He said that, human should have identity in the society and the identity should be respected by each other. But, everyone will get hurt, when there is adverse attack on their identity. We have built walls among us that caused us a lot of pain. Every Catholic youth should try to destroy these walls, thus proving to be role model to others. Peace and harmony bring happy in the families, he added

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The main theme of the event was the ‘Youth for Peace and Harmony’. It is a well known function among the Mangloreans, which witnessed the Unity and a great experience in youth of Mangalore.

 

Mr. Walter Stephen Mendes (MD western Institute of Technology), Rev Fr Roque D’Souza (Vicar Bantwal deanery), Ref Fr Peter Paul Saldanha (Prof St Joseph seminary) were present at the function. Over 1200 youth gathered at the ceremony.
