Belthangady, Nov 29, 2017 : Burglars who made their way into a house at Henthanaje in Dharmasthala on November 28, Tuesday night have decamped with cash and valuables apart from ATM cards after tying up a man who was the lone occupant of that house.
The theft occurred in the house of Nagendra Prasad. Nagendra who returned home at around 10.30 last night was opening the locks and entering the house when the burglars too forcibly made their way into the house. They later tied Nagendra and ransacked the house before escaping with Rs 40,000 cash, gold worth Rs 30,000 and ATM cards. Police said thieves have also withdrawn cash using the ATM card later in the night.
Dharmasthala Police are investigating the case. Finger print experts are also at the spot.
