Death threat to DC Sindhu Rupesh in social media

Mangaluru, July 28, 2020:    A person has  issued a death threat to Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Sindhu B Rupesh in a WhatsApp group and the message is now viral on social media.

 

The  threatening message has been issued in the backdrop of the Deputy Commissioner warning of legal action with reference to attack on cattle transporters.   It has been gathered that the issue had come up for discussion in a WhatsApp  Group when a man had issued a threat to the DC in Tulu language. " If anyone who  tries to come in the way  of the Hindutva or God’s work, ready to eliminate anyone or sacrifice my life," the man has posted in Tulu language.

Referring to the development, DCP (Law and Order) Arunamshagiri said that the matter has come to the notice of the Department and an investigation has been initiated. "We have also spoken to the DC and in case she lodges a complaint the same will be accepted or else a suo moto complaint will be registered."
