The whale which was 15 feet long was first noticed by Praveen Kotian, a member of the Lifeguards Association who went to the spot to check.

The local police were soon informed and the authorities including TMC officials and members rushed to the spot to catch a glimpse of the whale. Several parts of the whale’s body were decomposed.

The whale will be buried at the same spot where it was found after digging a trench using an earth mover, authorities informed.

Here it is worth noting that a dead whale was washed ashore at Someshwar beach a few years ago.

The whales are the old sea creatures and now we get to read about it only in the books. Even if we get to see its only the dead ones.
