Dead body of a fisherman found in Ullal

Ullal, April 12, 2016: Dead body of a fisherman was found in front of Baraka Fish Oil Mill in Kotepura on Tuesday afternoon, April 12. The deceased has been identified as Rajesh Kotian (43), a resident of Mogaveerapatna.

It is reported that Rajesh Kotian (Raju) had left home at around 2am on Tuesday to Kotepura port. In the afternoon school children noticed the dead body and informed people around. The face of the dead body was completely damaged, probably smashed with a stone. Murder suspected.

A tense situation prevailed in the region after the incident came to light. Hundreds of people from mogaveer community gathered at the spot and demanded the arrest of the accused.

DCP, ACP, CCB tam and Pandeshwar, Bajpe and Mangaluru rural police team along with KSRP visited the spot. Canine squad and finger print experts inspected the spot. The body has been shifted to hospital for post mortem.
