Dakshina Kannada reported 90 Coronavirus cases with one death on July 02

Mangaluru, Jul 02, 2020: Dakshina Kannada reported 90 Coronavirus positive  cases with one death in the district and Udupi reported 14 new cases on  July 2, Thursday.

 

90 who tested positive in DK, 62 are males and 28 females, including 11 children.15 have returned from Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Dubai, 19 are diagnosed with influenza-like illness (ILI), 8 are suffering from a severe acute respiratory illness (SARI) and 31 were primary contacts of earlier patients. Contact tracing process of 17 patients is on.

One death was reported on Thursday. The victim was a male aged 49 from Kalladka in Bantwal.

Among the 14 new cases reported in Udupi, 8 are males and 6 females, four each have travelled from Maharashtra and Bengaluru, one from Kerala and five are primary contacts of earlier patients.

All are being treated at designated Covid hospitals.
