DYFI go for fishing in waterlogged Padil-Bajal railway under bridge

Mangaluru June 24, 2016: Due to heavy rain in the city Padil-Bajal Railway Under bridge turned to be water pool and DYFI staged protest by using hooks and nets for fishing in the stagnant water at Padil Today June 24, Friday.

Addressing to the protestors DYFI secretary Santhosh Bajal said that, foundation stone was laid on August 16, 2014 still the work is incomplete but from past couple of months Railway under Bridge is in use. The unplanned railway under bridge has created lot of inconvenient to the people and entire area is flooded with mucky water all over.

He also said that, situation is more pathetic for the pedestrians as water level is raised up to knee high and find difficult to move either side of the road, MCC officials are lethargic to sort out the issues.

Local MLA has to act quickly to create consensus between Railway department and MCC and solve people’s problem, he added.
