Mangaluru, July 29, 2016: Dakshina Kannada Dalit and Minority organization staged protest from outside DC office today July 29, Friday against the Gujarat incident.

 

Addressing to the protestors DK SDPI President Hanif Khan alleged NDA government for consistently harassing Dalits from over the years. He also recalled the incidents of Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Hyderabad Rohit Vemula suicide and recent Gujarath incident where four dalit men flogged by so-called Hindu organization, but none of the ministers raised voice against the culprits.

If the Hindutva ideologies burgeoned all over the country then people will be terrorized throughout, said Hanif.

DSS President of Udupi District Jayan Malpe said that Modi has disillusioned people with acche din promises where Dalits brutally assaulted inhuman way, recently in Gujarat four Dalit men were stripped and flogged by cow vigilantes. We need to be alert and fight against the these sangh parivaar from harassing the Dalits, ministers are tongue tied over the issue, he alleged.

Prior to the protest DK Dalit and Minority organization carried out protest march from Townhall to DC office.

DSS Member Rajaram T, Ramesh Kotian, DSS Senior Leader SP Anand and others were present.
