DK Cooperative Milk Producers’ Union launches 2 brand new products

Mangalore, Aug 16: Nandini Paneer and Nandini Shubam Milk were released during a special programme organized by the DK Cooperative Milk Producers’ Union of Mangalore at Subramanya Sabha Bhavan, Kodialbail on Aug 16, Monday. 

District-in-charge Minister Krishna J. Palemar released Nandini Shubam Milk and said that KMF is unmatched in the production of milk. Stating that milk production is the largest business, he said that all the people of Mangalore ought to receive the required quantity of milk.

 

 

 

 

 

Mr. Palemar also said that people need to encourage KMF. The implementation of the anti cow slaughter bill will increase milk production in the state, he said and adding that the current year has witnessed a surplus of 10,000 litres of milk. The minister also said that the government has allocated 83 acres of land to KMF to grow grass for the cows and plans to provide more land if the organization requires it. 

Chairman of Coastal Development Authority B. Nagaraj Shetty said that the government has increased the price of milk and is giving a subsidy of Rs. 2 to profit milk producers. The president of KMF has been persuaded to provide milk at cheap rates to DK, North Karnataka, and Udupi so that the producers can profit, he said. 

MLA Yogesh Bhat released “Nandini Paneer” on the occasion. 

Sitaram Rai, the former president of the union, G. S. Dixit, Chandrashekar Shetty, and Kaup Diwakar Shetty, the managing director, were also present.
