DK District in-charge Minister  B Ramanatha Rai  who addressed the protestors, voiced his loud protest against BJP leader Subrahmanian Swamy and chose to refer him as a ’Pyscho.’ He described the act of the BJP government as well as Swamy as revenge politics against leaders of a party which had strived for the nation’s freedom struggle. Dubbing as ’false’ the allegations levelled by Subrahmanian Swamy,  Rai  said Swamy only wants to  send Sonia and Rahul to prison."If at all anything like that happens, then the protest by Congress would be so intense that the BJP will have to lose power," he warned.

MLC Ivan D’Souza who also spoke, dubbed Subrahmanian Swamy  as ’BJP’s pet dog’ and an ’Agent’ of BJP. Ivan further charged Swamy of trying to destroy the Congress by fixing party leaders  in different cases. "Was it wrong on the part of the   Congress to try to save a newspaper?," he questioned and  demanded that BJP shunned its revenge politics.

The protest meet was also addressed by AICC Member P V Mohan. Ibrahim Kodijal, Interim President of District Congress, Mamatha Gatti, District Mahila Congress President and many other party leaders and workers participated in the protest.
