DC inaugurates 2-day police sports tournament

Mangalore, December 16: V Ponnuraj, the deputy commissioner, inaugurated the 2-day police sports tournament, which will be held on the police grounds in Mangalore on Dec 16, Monday. The tournament was inaugurated by passing a sports torch.
In his inaugural speech, the DC said that sports is essential to keep the police alert. After the tournament, the police will be able to return to their duties refreshed and rejuvenated. He also congratulated the police personnel for their smooth handling of sensitive cases.
Police personnel from police stations all over the district will participate in this sports tournament, which will come to an end on Dec 17.
SP Dr. A S Rao as well as Additional Superintendent of Police Ramesh was also present at the inauguration ceremony.
