DC directs star campaigners of all parties to leave constituency

Mangalore, April 16, 2014 : With campaigning for the Lok Sabha elections drawing to a close on April 15, Tuesday, Deputy Commissioner and District Returning Officer AB Ibrahim has directed star campaigners of all parties except elected representatives, to leave the constituency.
Addressing press persons on April 15, Tuesday, he said political parties cannot hold any press meet relating to elections. He said as many as 8,108 election duty staff including 4652 women have been deputed. A total of 257 buses, 20 mini buses, 130 maxi cabs, 123 jeeps and 16 lorries will be used for election duty, he informed.
