Critically ill girl suffering rushed to hospital by creating zero traffic

Kundapur, Dec 22, 2017:  The 11 year old daughter of a school headmaster, who was suffering from a critical liver ailment has been rushed to the  Hebbal Hospital in Bengaluru by air   after the administration made arrangements for zero traffic to bring the girl from her village in near Byndoor to Mangaluru International Airport thanks to the  initiative by a local JD(S) leader and Karnataka Karmika Vedike District President Ravi Shetty. In fact Shetty says he has even pledged his jewellery  to remit Rs 2 lakh to the girl’s treatment.

Anusha Gowda, daughter of Sanjeeva Gowda, Headmaster of Kappadi School near Kalthodu in Byndoor was reportedly  ill since some time., Though she was admitted to Manipal Hospital for treatment of a serious liver disease from which  she was suffering, the family being poor had got her discharged  unable to meet the treatment expenses.

However, when the girl developed acute abdominal pain, Sanjeeva Gowda who  was utterly helpless had spoken about his predicament with Ravi Shetty who happens to be his neighbour. Shetty in turn sent her medical reports to a hospital in Bengaluru which assured treatment provided the patient was brought to the hospital immediately.

Shetty later spoke to the district administration officials  who co-ordinated with traffic police to create zero traffic zone and the girl was brought from Areshiroor in Byndoor to MIA  in two hours and was later taken to Hebbal hospital by a flight.

As everyone hopes for the early recovery of the girl, Good Samaritan Ravi Shetty says her treatment needs nearly Rs 25 lakhs as she may have to undergo a liver transplant.
