Mangalore, April 1: Cricket fans have gone out of their way to express their support of Dhoni’s Men in Blue well in advance of the World Cup finals against Shri Lanka.

In Mangalore, cricket enthusiasts sculpted images of the World Cup along with captions on the sand. The members of the Lahiri Group, which is widely acclaimed for its innovative ideas, designed these sculptures.


Udupi, April 1: In Udupi, cricket enthusiasts of Upadhya Skating Rink in Ambalpady organized a roller-skating show on Car Street, and it was accompanied by loud cheers. The show was flagged off by Shiroor Mutt Seer Swami Laxmivarateertha, who announced that he will distribute 10,000 laddoos among the devotees if India won the match. Shiroor Mutt has also set aside Rs. 2 lakh for social welfare activities, he said, adding that Rs. 1 lakh will be earmarked for social work even if Shri Lanka emerges as the victorious team.
