Court to declare bail orders in Baliga murder case on Friday, April 29

Mangalore Today News Network

Mangaluru, Apr 28, 2016: It is reported that the second additional district and sessions court judge reserved orders on the anticipatory bail application of NaMo Brigade co-founder Naresh Shenoy, wanted by Mangaluru city police in connection with the murder of RTI activist Vinayak Pandurang Baliga, to Apr 29, Friday.

naresh.Public prosecutor Shekar Shetty opposed the bail plea of Shenoy citing various judgments of Supreme Court and high courts against people wanted in such cases. Shetty said his main plea to judge Sarvodaya Shettigar was that granting bail to Shenoy will hamper ongoing police investigation into the murder of the RTI activist.

City police chief M Chandra Sekhar has said police want to question Shenoy in connection with the case. "We believe he has answers to a lot of our queries," Police Commissioner Sekhar said.  Police so far have arrested three people in connection with the murder of Baliga.
