Corporation Bank bags “Best MSME Bank Award-Runner Up 2018”

1] Corporation Bank has bagged three awards instituted by Chamber of Indian Micro Small & Medium Enterprises [CIMSME] consistently for the 5th year in a row under the following categories:

 

Shri Jai Kumar Garg, Managing Director and CEO, Corporation Bank receiving “ BEST MSME Bank Award- Runner Up 2018”,  “CSR Initiatives & Business Responsibility Award – Winner 2018” ( Emerging Category) and “Best Bank for Promotional Schemes Award -  Runner up 2018” ( Emerging Category) instituted by CIMSME, from Shri Giriraj Singh, Hon’ble Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India at the Award Ceremony held in New Delhi on 20th  July , 2018.

2]Shri Jai Kumar Garg, Managing Director and CEO, Corporation Bank, received the awards from the gracious hands of Shri Giriraj Singh, Hon’ble Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India at the Award Ceremony held in New Delhi on 20th  July , 2018.

3]Chamber of Indian Micro Small & Medium Enterprises (CIMSME) has been the strong voice of MSME sector, assisting them to move to the next level and spearheading their issues and concerns with the authorities. Despite the challenges, Banks contribution to MSME Sector and Government enabling environment continue to be appreciative. The evaluation of the performance of the banks for the MSME sector was based on the performance in MSME segment-Growth, targets, quality, innovation, green banking, and Technology use to improve reach, service quality, penetration and reporting systems.

4]The award was conferred based on the performance in SME segment-Growth, targets, unique schemes and products offered for SMEs, Technology use to improve reach, efficiency in appraisal of SME proposals and creating awareness about MSME schemes.

5]Bank has taken several proactive initiatives like:

*Introduction of online loan facility for MSME borrowers.

*Offers customized loan schemes to the needs of the MSME sector through its dedicated 177   branches across the country as “Specialised MSME Branches.

*Online facility for Revival and Rehabilitation of MSME.

*Active participation in all the government’s flagship programs namely “MUDRA” & “Stand-up India” to provide a much needed push to the MSME sector.

*Concessions in interest rate are offered to women beneficiaries and rated MSME units.
