Cops thwart illegal transportation of cattle, sheep skin; arrest one

Mangaluru, Oct 19, 2015 : Pandeshwar Police have seized a vehicle which was unauthorisedly transporting cattle and sheep skin near Mangaladevi in the city on October 18, Sunday.
One person identified as Umarabba(40) of Valachhil has been arrested in this connection while another accused named Abbas has succeeded in giving the cops a slip. Police have seized 50 kg cattle meat and 3 kg sheep meat.
It has been reliably gathered that the police conducted the operation following a tip off from Bhajrangdal activists that the vehicle carrying cattle and sheep skin was heading towards a slaughter house in Kudroli.
The arrested Umarabba was once earlier caught while illegally transporting cattle skin in a pick-up vehicle just a few days ago.
