Cop’s teenage son hangs himself at home

Mangalore, Nov 10, 2011 : The 19-year-old son of a police constable committed suicide on Nov 9 Monday. The deceased is Sandeep Kumar, the son of Somashekar, district reserve head constable. His mother is a nurse in a Mangalore-based private hospital.

Reportedly, the teenager hanged himself on Wednesday afternoon when there was no one at home.

The family hails from Mardalu in Sullia, but resides on Police Lane, Pandeshwar.

Nobody knows why Sandeep took this step, but it is believed that he was disappointed in love. Sandeep was a final year student of human resources at University College.

His body is now at Wenlock Hospital and will be handed over to the family after post mortem.
