Uppinangady, Jan 31, 2017 : A consumer who purchased salt from BPL card at  ration shop in Uppinangady shocked as the salt reportedly changed to a blue colour when it was mixed.

Adam Badroli from Uppinangady had purchased the salt had noticed that the salt turned to a blue colour when it was mixed with water as well as other ingredients.  There was differnce in taste too .People who have consumed it have suffererd from loose motion and vomitting .


A complaint was made with authorities of the food department and distribution of the salt but they have claimed that it was safe for consumption.
