Congress trying to destabilise state govt through anti-CAA protests : C T Ravi

Mangaluru, Dec 26, 2019: State Minister for Tourism, Kannada and Culture C T Ravi has accused the Congress of attempting to destabilise the state government on the pretext of protests against Citizenship Amendment Act and NRC.

Speaking to reporters here on December 26, Thursday, Ravi also said it was evident that there was a nexus between the Congress, SDPI and PFI.

Questioning why a protest was held when there was prohibitory orders, Ravi lashed out at the Congress and said it considered those who damaged property and pelted stones during the protest as innocent.

On Congress doubting the authenticity of the violence videos, Ravi said the Congress always had the habit of doubting and pointed out how the party doubts EVMs whenever it loses elections.

The Minister also countered the Congress allegation that the State Government was communal and questioned whether Kisan Samman, Ayushman Bharath schemes had anything to do with caste or religion.
