Congress to discuss demonetization woes at grass root level: Ivan

Mangaluru, Jan 15, 2017: MLC and Chief Whip of State Legislative Council Ivan D’Souza has said that the Congress will be holding grass root level meeting with the people from January 20 to February 23 to understand the problems faced by them due to demonetization.

Speaking to reporters here on January 15, Saturday, he said the Party would further intensify its Jana Vedana campaign aimed at sensitizing the masses on the ill-effects of demonetization.

He also demanded that the government revoke all restrictions on cash withdrawals. The people are still suffering due to the effects of demonetisation, he said.

Ivan urged the government to waive farm loans and double the wages provided to labourers under the MGNREGA. He also requested the government to ensure that ATMs had sufficient currency so that people are not put to hardship.

The Congress are uplifting the bad side of cash crunch . But this has totally put an end to the fake currencies which was in circulation at large.
