Congress to chalk out counter-strategy to defeat BJP ploy over Kapali Betta issue

Mangaluru, Jan 15, 2020:  Dhananjaya Adpangaya,  President of the DK District Congress Campaign Committee has said that the party would give a befitting reply   to the Sangh Parivar by chalking out a counter strategy in view of the protests organised by the BJP and its affiliate organisations at Kapali Betta in Kanakapura over the issue of  installation of a Jesus statue.

 

Speaking to reporters at the Congress Bhavan at Mallikatte on Wednesday, he said if the BJP fought the issue on religious grounds, the Congress will face it politically by winning the support of the people. He said the Congress would  seek public co-operation to maintain harmony and accused the  BJPof trying to disrupt harmony.

 He questioned the opposition for the statue while in Malaysia there is 5% reservation in government jobs  for Hindus   and  temple construction is permitted in Dubai.

Congress leaders Nazeer Bajal, Neeraj Pal, Jayasheela Adyantaya and others were present.
