Mangaluru, July 08, 2019: Mangaluru City South MLA D Vedavyas Kamath alleged that the Congress was in power in the City Corporation for five years but failed to provide a permanent solution to water woes.
“Water supplied from the Thumbe vented dam is stored at water storage units at Padil and Bendoorwell. The water is then supplied from these units to different wards. The water is not pumped whenever there is disruption in power supply. As a result, the residents face inconvenience,” he explained.
“The earlier ruling parties should have solved the problems pertaining to water supply by holding talks with the district in-charge minister and state government,” he opined.
“The residents are facing water crisis even during monsoon. I will raise the issue in the monsoon session of the Assembly,” he promised.
