Cong candidates express doubts over EVMs, file objection with returning officer

Mangaluru, May 15, 2018:  All the Congress candidates from Dakshina Kannada district led by  Bantwal candidate B Ramanatha Rai  have filed their objection with the Returning Officer expressing doubts over EVMs. The development comes after the shocking defeat of all  Congress candidates in Dakshina Kannada district except U T Khader from Mangaluru Constituency who has managed to retain his seat.

 

 

 

The Congress candidates who arrived at the counting centre at Bondel  just a little while ago  filed their objection. They have also decided to complain to the District Election Officer.

The Congress was confident of winning all eight seats but the  results had turned all calculations wrong sending shockwaves in the Congress camp. The Congress candidates are expected to  decide on their next course of action based on the decision of the election officer.

Ramanatha Rai was accompanied by J R Lobo, Moidin Bava and other party candidates.
