Communal harmony is must for district to achieve economic prosperity: Harsha Moily

Mangalore, Jan 18, 2014: “Achieving communal harmony, turning Mangalore into an IT hub, reforms in the agriculture sector, development of ports and fisheries, infrastructure development and effective implementation of government schemes will go a long way in realising the Vision 2025 for the city of Mangalore,” said Harsha Moily, CEO of Milkroute, Bangalore.

He was delivering a talk on ‘Mangalore-Vision 2025’  at the SDM Law College in the city on January 17, Friday under the aegis of the Mangalore Management Association and National Institute of Personnel Management.

Harsha further stressed the need for the district to have progressive and dynamic leadership. The coastline has to be   put to productive use and the rich culture and historic sites of the district has to be preserved, he further added.

Further, he said economic prosperity is possible only when there is communal harmony in the district. Stating that Mangalore has the potential to develop into an IT hub, he emphasised the need to  improve quality of education in schools.

Mangalore’s fullest potential is not yet tapped, Harsha further said and stressed the need for efforts in this direction.
