Mangaluru, June 14, 2018: City Police Commissioner Vipul Kumar has warned  against making social media posts that incite communal sentiments and have warned stern legal action against those who err.

The Commmissioner was addressing a peace meet held at his office on June 13, Wednesday and was responding to a participant who said the administration must keep an eye on offensive statements, photos and information on social sites.

The Commissioner said of late two persons have been arrested in connection with such posts.

He also stated that the Police Department would be striving its level best to ensure peace and harmony.

One of the participants wanted such meets to be held   during regular intervals and not just ahead of  festivals.

The meet also discussed traffic, parking and such other issues.

DCP Hanumantharaya,  ACP Jagadish, Rajendra, Manjunath and others were present.
