Mangaluru, Feb 01, 2016: The City Police chief M Chandra Sekhar stated that sensitive need based  action on reasonable requirements suggested at the monthly SC/ST meeting held on Jan 31, Sunday.

Chandra Sekhar...Suggestions that came forth related to traffic issues, social evils such as use of narcotics, problems that members of SC/ST communities face in educational institutions or members not getting their due in implementation of government schemes.

Two participants drew attention to problems that temporary location of Mangaluru North traffic police station at Honnakatte posed in effective handling of cases in their jurisdiction, PC Chandra Sekhar assured to take a look at it. M Sanjeev Patil, DCP (traffic and crime) said police from Bajpe and Moodbidri police station attend to traffic cases in their limits and those from North Traffic PS to other areas in North sub-division.

City PC Chandra Sekhar said due review will be given to ensure that location of permanent Mangaluru North traffic PS is centrally located. "All consideration will be extended  to ensure that available personnel in North Traffic PS attend to traffic cases in their limits as fast as posssible  and in time," he said. Road from KPT at Kadri Hills up to Mangaluru International Airport is under Mangaluru North Traffic PS and other areas of North sub-division under Bajpe, Moodbidri PS limits, he pointed out.

City Commissioner is strict in hid action. He has the ability to control all the illegal happenings and we have to co-operate.
