Church attacks: Mahendra Kumar contradicts

Mahendra Kumar...August 12: Mahendra Kumar, the former convener of Bajrang Dal, said that he read the controversial book “Sathyadarshini” only in 2009.

This information comes as a shocker because it contradicts all the earlier statements made by the Bajrang Dal that the churches were attacked in response to the derogatory statements against Hinduism made in the book, especially since the church attacks took place in 2008 and Mr. Kumar read the book only in 2009.

Mr. Kumar made these revelations in response to the cross-examination of advocate M. P. Noronha in the course of the B. K. Somashekara Commission of Inquiry held in Bangalore on Tuesday. He admitted that he had neither discussed the book with any Christian authority nor seen a copy of the book in any church.

He also revealed that Bajrang Dal has no rules, no members, and no identification. Simultaneously, he said that Christians have no right to propagate their faith, and if they persist in doing so, Bajrang Dal will protest in a similar manner. Although he agreed that blind belief and poverty are the chief reasons for religious conversion, he also admitted that the Bajrang Dal has no action plan to eradicate poverty and blind belief.

Mr. Kumar also stated that the Bajrang Dal intends to establish the Hindu nation according to the thoughts and philosophy of M. S. Golwalkar, the RSS leader, and others.
