Puttur, Apr 16, 2016: According to informal reports, a two-year-old child was locked in a car, as it had central locking.
This episode was near the bus stand at Puttur on April 15, Friday. The child was brought out by breaking the car’s rear glass after more than an hour.
According to reports, a man in his 30s was driving the vehicle with his child on the seat next to him. He stopped the car opposite a shopping complex noticing that the boot of the car was open. He came out of the car and locked the boot he then realised that the drivers door clicked and locked as the vehicle had a central locking system. The child was asleep inside the car. Technicians came to the spot, but they could not open the door. Meanwhile, the child woke up and started crying. The ma then had the rear glass broken open and saved the situation.
