The assistant labour commissioner, who visited the flat, said that the boy will be handed over to the Child Welfare Department after the medical tests are done.

Bimalesh told reporters that he does not do house work, but only goes to the market to purchase things. He said that he was attending primary school in Bihar and that he intends to study to become a police officer.

Bimalesh, who has no father, has a sister and a mother who live in Bihar.

Although the team waited for 2 hours, A. K. Prasad did not come home; and his wife, who had brought the boy for domestic labour, opened the door after one hour.
