Belthangady, April 1, 2016 : A manager in the HDFC Life’s BTM Layout Branch in Bengaluru who was arrested in Uttar Pradesh last December on the charges of cheating hundreds of people was produced before a court in Belthangady on March 31, Thursday by the local police who had secured a body warrant, in connection with a case of cheating registered by a local resident.
A rice mill owner in Belthangady who had paid Rs 1.16 crore towards an insurance policy through RTGS facility had lodged the complaint after he came to know of the Manager Vishalakshis arrest.
She has reportedly cheated man to the tune of several lakhs of rupees after collecting premium from them. She is from Siri in Uttara Kannada district.
Vishalakshi is facing as many as 14 cases in various police station limits in the state.
