Camera in ladies toilet : Bengaluru cyber crime police scrutinizing records

Mangaluru, Sep 04, 2016: The Mangaluru Police led by South Division ACP Shruthi who are investigating into the case wherein a live mobile phone camera was found in the ladies toilet of Mangalore University have sent the records of the camera to the Cyber Crime Police of Bengaluru.

ladies toilet ... The mobile phone camera was first spotted by a girl student on August 24. Later it came to light that it had two clippings of 15 and 30 minutes duration and images from the camera have been transmitted on August 7 and 11.

The issue came to light when it came up for discussion at the Syndicate Meet held on August 31.

So far, the police have interrogated three students and a few staff in connection with the case and police are presently waiting for the Bengaluru Cyber Crime Cops to send their report which is likely to be out in a week’s time.
