CPI protests against failure of BJP govt to check price rise

Mangalore, Oct 16,2014: A protest was organised in front of the DC office in the city on October 16, Thursday by the DK unit of the Communist Party of India (CPI) to condemn the ‘failure’ of the Union Government to check price rise.

Speaking on the occasion, P Sanjeeva, District Secretary of the Party charged the Union Government of not putting in any effort to check the soaring prices of essential commodities. He also alleged that the BJP government at the Centre was treading the path of the erstwhile UPA Government. Ridiculing the Ache Din Aeyaga slogan of the BJP government, he said good times have come only for the big industrialists and not for the common man.

V Kukian, AITUC leader,Shekhar, VS Berinja, CPI Secretaries and several others participated in the protest.
