Mangaluru, Nov 20, 2016: The bronze statue of India’s first prime minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru which has been installed at Nehru Maidan on behalf of the MCC, was unveiled by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on November 19, Saturday.
State Home Minister G Parameshwar, KPCC Working President Dinesh Gundurao, State Minister H K Patil, DK District in-charge Minister Ramanatha Rai, Mayor Harinath, former minister Abhayachandra Jain, MCC Chief Whip Shashidhar Hegde, Corporators Mahabala Maarla, Appi, Bhasker K and others were present.
The Chief Minister and others present offered floral tributes to Pandit Nehru on the occasion.
