Mangalore, July 7, 2011: CET counseling for engineering begins today at Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management in Adyar for the year 2011, for the benefit of students who answered the Common Entrance Test (CET) from Mangalore and its surrounding areas.

Coordinator Shuthakeerthi said on the occasion that around 6000 students from DK, Udupi, Uttara Kannada, Kodagu, Kasargod, and other places will take their CET counseling at Sahyadri College. He also said that the college will counsel around 1600 students today.

Ramachandra Upadhyaya of Mangalore, a student of Poorna Prajna College of Udupi, who has obtained the 21st rank in engineering, was the first to receive a seat in RV College, Bangalore.
