CCB police seize 51.7 kg of Ganja, one arrested

Mangaluru Aug 4, 2016: CCB police succeeded in detaining one person and seized 51.7 kg of Ganja worth 10.50 lakhs and Scorpio car from his possession, informed Police Commissioner M Chandrashekar.

Arrested has been identified as Mohiudeen Nawas (29) resident of Uppala Addressing to the press in his office today August 4,Thursday he said that Nawaz was smuggling large quantity of Ganja from Vishakapatnam to Mangaluru and Kasargod district.

After the credible information CCB police swung into action and arrested Nawaz near Natekal cross under Konaje limits early this morning. It is said that, Nawaz purchased large quantity of Ganja from Vishakapatnam.

CCB Inspector Sunil Y Nayak, PSI Shyam Sundar, Rama Poojary, Ganesh, Sheenappa, Chandrashekar, Chandrahasa, Yogesh, Chandra, Prashanth Shetty, Shaju K Nair, Sunil Kumar, Rajendra Prasad, Damodar, Mani, Sudhir Shetty, Issac, Abdul Jabbar, Ashith and Tej Kumar were amongst the operation.

Police Commissioner has come up with new idea of connecting with the public through phone-in programme every Friday from 10am to 11pm.
