CCB arrest seven persons in connection with Ismail’s murder

Mangaluru, Oct 03, 2016: The CCB police have been successful in arresting seven persons in connection with Ismail’s murder which took place  on September 23, Friday near Ivarnaadu.

The arrested are identified as Abdul Rasheed (32) of Ammunje, Umar Farooq AK (32) of Kedila,  Abbas(32) of Suratkal, Rehman Bellare,  Yakub Bejai , Farooq Bellare  and Suhail Nandavar. It is said that three among the seven are said to contract killers.

Addressing the press at SP Office today on October 03, SP Borase said that they had formed three teams for investigation of this case . They had been successful is detaining the accused within 10 days of murder. As they were interrogating the accused ,they revealed the fact that there was a  land dispute between Bellare Zakariya  Jummma Masjid  Administration Board and  Rahim Bellare’s  family . Ismail was supporting Jumma Masjid which created indifference between Ismail and Rehman.

He also said that, even the accused Yakoob Bejai had same issues with Ismail. So Rehman and Yakoob decided to eliminate Ismail and with the help of contract killer Umar Farooq hacked Ismail to death.

It is said that, from past one month these seven accused were planning to kill Ismail and were consistantly following the Victim. Accused noticed that Ismail was visiting Jumma Masjid every Friday and taking this as advantage accused hacked Ismail with lethal weapons outside Masjid at Airvarnaadu.

Operation was carried out by ASP Vedamurthy, ASP Puttur Rishyanth, DySP Raveesh, DCIB Police Amanullah, Circle Inspector Krishnayya Sullia, PSI Bellare Cheluvayya, PSI Sullia Chandrashekar, PSI Belthangady Ravi.
